There are some things that my parents have done...
That I’ve sworn on everything that id never do, and just recently have realized, that I’ve already done a lot of those things. This doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would though, because realization of ones flaws is the first step to overcoming them. <3

A while back I...
had my own Xanga, if any of you recall that blogging website…Well, I used to look at pictures of extremely thin women and post my weight loss goals to keep my motivation going. I had an eating disorder, which some of you might know. Well, three years later and I’ve come across something today that really, completely saddened me… There is a girl whom I used to speak to on Myspace....

Despite my position, She moves
I’ve been sitting in my room motionless for a while now, dying inside. But this morning was different. I woke up, streched my benumbed body and made my way to the window. I gathered the soft white curtain in my hand and pulled it away to reveal the long forgotten sun. As my morning eyes adjusted to the light i looked down at the streets below and thats when I realized… This whole time...

Always Tomorrow
Inside of my room, I play music and look at old photos as I plan my workout routine for tomorrow. Tomorrow is a very important day for me, as I am going to try to start a new diet. In the parking lot across the street, there are two men screaming at eachother over a very small issue. Neighbors poke their heads out of the windows to see what is happening. Right now this is important to them....

The Me I See
Written by a very close and intelligent friend I look at my reflection and it’s looking down on me Apparent imperfections but only my eyes see
I say, “I give my everything“ I say, “I always try” It says, “I see you every day, I am you. Do not lie.”
“I’m trapped within this mirrored cell, a fearful shackled smear When you go you can make a change, I only disappear
I beg and plead for a new you,...

“If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive.”

HOWL by Allen Ginsberg for Carl Soloman
A poem or letter written to friend Carl Soloman about the current surroundings and feelings of Allen Ginsberg’s life.
I
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix, angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery...

Mistakes are what make artists feel like...
..because we are taught to do everything a certain way as we grow older. We paint something, write something, take a picture of something, and for some odd reason, though we cant tell what it is, its completely wrong. Its not good enough because of what we were taught to believe. We put pressure on ourselves, and spend time constantly trying to get better, living for the future, never satisfying...

We sat in your car...
….words without words under the hum of the hot air passing through the vents. I had thought many things to ask of you, but hadn’t planned what I would say this evening. The words for two long years, I had waited to hear, poured from the tears in your eyes. Your description of me as your motivational tool, your confession of your own flaws; You aged by 10 years within a few sentences....

I Found Her Hair
I found her hair on your pillow the other day, and it was okay with me; Something that would’ve made me a bit upset about a year ago. Instead of tossing it aside and feeling dismayed, with both of my hands I held her hair into the light. There it shone, colored violet from the tip, with a bit of the natural ash brown at the root. For a moment, i felt like i was holding her, a girl that was...
